Thermal Palms Massage

For the ultimate fusion of relaxation and therapeutic massage, try a Thermal Palms® heat massage. Hot bundles are used during the massage therapy treatment (like hot rocks, but these are softer and can go right over the spine and shoulder blades!). This benefits you not only by feeling absolutely amazing and relaxing you to the core, but also by deeply heating the tissues, to release trigger points and areas of spasm and adhesion. You have to try it to realize just how incredible the thermal palms are!

Thermal Palms® are specially crafted soft hand held heat cushions that mould to the contours of the body while delivering a continuous source of deep penetrating heat to skin, muscles and joints during massage. With an emphasis to alleviate primary regions of chronic muscular tension, heated Thermal Palms® are massaged over the hips, back, shoulders and neck regions to render muscles warm, pliable and responsive to massage techniques. Muscular tension subsides and full body relaxation is achieved. These pliable sachets allow for easier massage manipulation while reducing post treatment tenderness.

Thermal Palms Massage helps with:

  • Muscle aches and pains and stiffness
  • Poor circulation
  • Arthritis, Fibromyalgia and back pain
  • Stress, anxiety and tension

Other benefits include:

  • Steady heat from the Thermal Palms® increases blood flow and helps to repair damaged tissue
  • Improves local and general circulation
  • Enhances lymphatic drainage – this in turn flushes waste products released from tissues during the massage more easily
  • Stimulates skin hydration by opening blocked pores,
  • Activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps you relax and maximize treatment benefits.
  • Stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system. This is the body’s rest and repair mode. When the nervous system is calmed, pain signals to the brain are reduced. This helps the body to recuperate from stress and relax!

Please note: Unfortunately some of us have health conditions that contraindicate the use of heat, i.e., uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart disease, blood thinner medication, diabetes with diminished sensation, acute trauma or inflammation.

We cannot stress how important it is to update your health history on a regular basis.
